Day 1
Stone me....!! and the day isn't over yet!
We are delighted to inform you that the concrete slab is on its way. Work begins on Monday 11th March. For this exciting development we must thank or friends EKFB who have for the sub-contractors execute the work. EKFB has been a staunch supporter of our efforts over the last few months, including the previously cleared site of dead trees and removal of tree stumps.
Before the slab-laying work can start, we need to clear the area of old wood piles and general debris. To do this we ask you join us at 10 am on Thursday 7th March. The task should only take an hour or so, and we look forward to seeing old, and new faces on site. Do let us know if you are able to come along. We recommend that you have gloves and old clothing, its gets a bit muddy at times. contact@meninshedsbrackley.uk or call Chick Parkinson – 07931 255562 Mike Moran – 07799 898833

We need your help to mark out the cleared site! Now that our site at EWG is cleared, it is time to define exactly where we want the two concrete slabs that will support our sheds will go. Thanks to the efforts of a couple of our members, several weeks ago, we were able to mark out the general area and show which trees would need to be removed. After that we had to wait for HW Martin, on behalf of HS2, to bring in the men and machinery to clear the ground. Now that is done the next step is place pegs and tape so that the foundations can be poured to the right size and in the right orientation. I am asking for volunteers who can spare a couple hours assisting me to undertake the job. I plan for it to happen one afternoon next week. Please contact me, Chick Parkinson: Email: parkin@flash.net 07931 255 562 WhatsApp Group – MIS Brackley. Looking forward to hearing from you.
